Company Story

How marcos Became a Marco Island Favorite

It all started in 2009 when founder Marco Bellini stepped off a flight from Naples, Italy, carrying his grandmother's recipe book and a dream. He opened a small kitchen on Bald Eagle Drive with just six tables, a wood-fired oven, and an unwavering belief that marco's pizza could bring people together in Marco Island like nothing else could.

Word spread fast. Locals and vacationers alike discovered the authentic, hand-stretched doughs, the San Marzano tomato sauce, and the farm-fresh toppings that made every pie unforgettable. Within two years, Marcos had expanded its dining room and added a full delivery service to the island.

Today, marcos pizza remains a cornerstone of the Marco Island community — still family-run, still made fresh daily, and still as passionate about quality as the day we first opened our doors. Every marco pizza we make honors that original vision: honest ingredients, bold flavors, and the warmth of sharing a great meal.

2009

Doors Open on Bald Eagle Drive

Marco Bellini opens the original Marcos kitchen with 6 tables, a wood-fired oven imported from Naples, and his grandmother's secret pizza sauce recipe.

2011

Delivery Service Launches

Demand grows beyond dine-in capacity. Marcos launches its first delivery fleet, bringing hot marco's pizza to every corner of Marco Island within 30 minutes.

2014

Award-Winning Pizza

Marcos wins "Best Pizza in Southwest Florida" at the Naples Food & Wine Festival for two consecutive years, putting us on the regional culinary map.

2017

Full Restaurant Expansion

A full renovation triples our seating capacity to 80 guests, adds a private dining room for events, and introduces our expanded pasta and salad menu.

2020

Online Ordering Goes Live

Adapting to new challenges, Marcos launches its online ordering platform, making it easier than ever to get your favorite marco pizza delivered to your door.

2024

50,000 Pizzas Milestone

Marcos celebrates serving over 50,000 pizzas to the Marco Island community. We honor this milestone by pledging 1% of annual revenue to local environmental causes.

Born in Naples, Italy, Marco brings over 25 years of culinary experience and his family's authentic pizza traditions to every dish at Marcos.

Sofia Bellini

Operations Manager

Marco's daughter and the organizational backbone of Marcos. Sofia ensures every order, every delivery, and every customer experience is flawless.

Diego Reyes

Sous Chef

Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, Diego brings creative flair and technical precision to Marcos' pasta dishes, salads, and daily specials.
